y=|x| y=|x|+1 y=|x|+2 y=|x|+3 y=|x|-2 y=|x+1| y=|x-2| 1. When you add a positive number to the equation after a function the point is located higher on the graph. 2. If you subtract a number from the equation after the function the point is located on the bottom half of the graph. Is also right straight on the "y" axis. 3&4. Both are the same, they are either higher or lower on the graph, but the don't go right on the "y' axis. They go on either side. positive side if its a positive number, and vise versa for a negative number. 5. DOWN BELOW y=|x(-1)| The "x" in this equation stands for inches, and the "y" stands for centimeters. The graph is a linear function, and as you see in the graph it`s points for each centimeter, by looking at them it`s easy to convert inches to centimeters. To find out how many centimeters a 1 foot is you put 12 in for the x.
